Mr. AJ Rahman is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Norvic Shipping International Ltd. He is also the CEO and founder of Norvic Maritime group, Canada, the parent company of Norvic International Ltd. In addition, he is the CEO and founder of Norvic’s sister companies: Norvic Energy Navigation Ltd., which is involved in crude tanker operations; and Norbulk Canada Inc., which is involved in commodity trading.
He has been involved in the shipping business as an entrepreneur since 1991 founding several successful shipping companies.
Mr. Rahman holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and an MBS from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Mr. Rahman is a Canadian citizen and resident.
Mr. Mudit Paliwal joined Norvic Shipping in 2017 as the COO & President for the global entity.
Mr. Paliwal joins Norvic Shipping from Caravel Shipping where he was the Managing Director. He was responsible for the overall freight book and built their dry bulk operating business from the ground up. He positioned the company as they operated in excess of 25 Million MT of third-party business.
Prior to that, in 2011, Mr. Paliwal established a commodities, ship operating and ship-owning business. Previously, from 2002 – 2011, he was with Noble where he held the positions of Co-Head and Executive VP of Noble Chartering and other roles in Hong Kong and London. He was also a member of their global Management committee and represented the company on the board of their various shipping investment joint ventures.
Mr. Paliwal is a Marine Engineer and holds an MBA from Lancaster University, a master’s degree in mathematical trading & finance from Cass Business School and an executive leadership program from INSEAD.
Mr. Paliwal is an Indian national residing in Denmark.
Mr. Adir Katzav joined Norvic Shipping in 2017 as Executive Vice President & Group Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Katzav has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, and capital markets. Prior to joining Norvic Shipping, Mr. Katzav was the CFO of Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc., where he spent more than eight years. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Manager, in addition to other roles, for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, in the US and overseas offices, where he provided business advisory and audit services to public and private companies across multiple industries.
Mr. Katzav is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Operations Research and Accounting from TA University.

Mr. Henrik Jeremiassen joined Norvic shipping in 2016 to start up and manage Norvic’s European office.
Prior to this Mr. Jeremiassen held the position of Director at Thoresen Shipping in Copenhagen. While there, he oversaw the establishment and running of the office, as well as their commercial activities in the Atlantic basin. His global career has taken him around the world, and in addition to working in Copenhagen, he has held positions in Johannesburg, San Diego and New York.
Mr. Jeremiassen, who started his shipping career in 1992, holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Technical University of Denmark as well as a degree in economics from Copenhagen Business School.

Mr. Michael Madsen joined Norvic in 2016 to start up and manage Norvic’s office in Houston as the Commercial Director.
Mr. Madsen began his shipping career in 1996 at Armada Shipping in Denmark. In 1998 he moved to Connecticut for Parcel Tankers, which was partly owned by Armada Shipping. Later that same year he moved to Armada Shipping’s U.S.A. dry bulk desk. In 2002 he joined J. Lauritzen U.S.A., where he worked his way up within Lauritzen Bulkers. He began as a chartering manager, and progressed to Senior Chartering Manager, focusing on business in the Americas. In 2014 he transferred to Singapore where he worked as the Team leader for Lauritzen Bulker’s Supramax Pacific team.
Mr. Madsen is a Danish national residing in the USA.

Mr. Will Stride joined Norvic in 2017 to head up and run the Dubai Office.
He started his shipping career in 1998 with VShips Commercial in London. In early 2002 he then transferred to Sydney, Australia with Scottish Ship Management (a VShips company). Shortly after, in 2003, SSM was bought out by MUR Shipping and the opportunity to relocate to their head office in Johannesburg came about. Here the focus was ECSA/South-East Africa/Indian ocean. 2006 saw the MUR head office relocated to Dubai, UAE due to global positioning advantage. Here Mr. Stride focused more on North Atlantic/Mediterranean/Black Sea business development.
In 2010, the opportunity to establish and run the Howe Robinson Handy/Supramax desk in Singapore came about, allowing for excellent Asian market penetration. 2012 he returned to MUR Dubai to head up the Black Sea/Mediterranean and vessel Chartering department.
Mr. Stride is a British national and resides in Dubai, UAE.

Mr. Andrew Benjamin joined Norvic Shipping in 2017 to start up and manage the office in Singapore as the Commercial Director.
Mr. Benjamin joined us with over 23 years of dry bulk shipping experience. He spent 10 years with BHP in Melbourne and The Hague. While there he worked on various facets of shipping, from new-building projects, technical fleet management, to operations and scheduling. Thereafter he spent 10 years with Bunge, with time shared equally in Geneva and latterly Singapore where he headed their Pacific book. Mr. Benjamin then took up the challenging task of heading the global Panamax business with Caravel Shipping, based in Hong Kong. Immediately prior to joining Norvic, he spent 12 months with Noble Chartering, helping steer their chartering desk through challenging waters.
